Liam has been very busy!

Look at Liam's beautiful picture that he made using leaves that have fallen in the cooler weather.

I love the colours that autumn brings to the trees.

Liam has been to the Botanic gardens and fed the ducks.  He was lucky to see eels as well.
Liam I love eels, especially the Long Fin eel.  They are very special to New Zealand and under threat.  We need to look after them.

This is Liam's cat - her name is Millie.

What a beautiful cat Liam.

Thank you for sending in your photos.  I love seeing Millie.  You have talked about her at school.

Please keep sending in your wonderful artwork - very creative.

Hugo the Popstar

This made my day today.

Check out Hugo singing the poem this week.

I think he has the most AMAZING singing voice.

So proud of you sending me this video of you Hugo. You are a star!!!!

Elies drew a picture about the story Miss Norris read in the google hangout

Elies was excited to see the children and teachers in today's hangout. He liked listening to the story that Miss Norris read he drew a picture about the story.

He said, "These are happy faces with colours."

Elies you did some great listening in the hangout today. I'm so glad you could join us. I can see the people in your picture are showing different emotions on their faces. Just like what we learned about in drama. What a good drawer you are.

This mornings Google Hangout

Here is a picture from this morning's hangout - we will be running a hangout every school morning at 9:30.

The teachers were super duper impressed at how well everybody used their mute button this morning.

Wasn't it great to listen to a story? I really love hearing Miss Norris read.

Thanks for joining us

Cedrick is working so hard at home.

Check out these photos of Cedrick working at home.

He is spending a lot of time focusing on his writing and counting. Look at some of the things he is using to help with his counting. I think you are very clever to find things in your house that help you with your learning. Clever boy.

We loved seeing your smiling face in our google hangout this morning. Bring that gorgeous smile back again tomorrow it makes our day Cedrick.

Well done Cedrick!

Aleigha the scientist

Yesterday Aleigha and her Mum did an experiment with Skittles.

They put Skittles  in a colour pattern around a plate then added warm water and waited to see what would happen.

Aleigha  answered 2 questions about the experiment. Before they started. --- What did she think would happen?
Then after --- What did happen?

Aleigha thought it was very exciting!

That does sound exciting Aleigha. Lucky Miss Clothier wasn't there, I might have eaten one of the skittles. 😁. I love that you wrote down what you saw. I wonder why it turns the water rainbow. Do you have any ideas?

Our Cedrick loves the blog

Our gorgeous Cedrick has loved working from the blog. He has been singing the alphabet song and the poems at home with his mum.

He has also been drawing lots of pictures and working on his Maths.

Your mum is a superstar to help you with all your learning Cedrick. I hope you give her one of your world famous hugs to say thanks.

We miss that smile.

Chase has been working hard at home.

Our gorgeous Chase has been working hard at home with his mum and dad. He has enjoyed writing and drawing pictures and has been doing a lot of work in his activity books.

He has been checking the blog and has done lots of activities from this. Check out this picture of him ordering things from smallest to largest.

Another picture of brilliant work Chase has done with feelings and emotions. I think this is brilliant Chase.

Paige's Hat!

Wow Paige, what a clever Mum you have!  Your hat was beautiful.  Well done.  I love the way your hair is the doughnut!

Check out this gorgeous drawing

What a fantastic picture Rory has drawn of her saying a beautiful "good morning!!" to her cats Fudge and Butterscotch. I love their names Rory.

Rory has added in how she feels about her cats by writing I love my cats. I love that you have put love hearts and words to tell us how you feel about these gorgeous cats.

I think they are very lucky to have you greet them each morning.

I love this picture of Rory and her cats.

Mum tells me that Fudge has been a bit cheeky this morning and has brought a bird into your house. Mum is now looking after the bird in your laundry. Your mum is the best.

Look at these adorable cats Fudge and Butterscotch.

Thank you for sharing your picture today Rory. It made my day.

Elies loves watching Sonic

Elies likes Sonic so much that he asked his big sister to draw him a Sonic picture, then he coloured it in.

What beautiful colouring Elies! You have filled in all the white spaces. How kind of your sister to draw those pictures for you. She is very good at drawing. Did you say thank you to her?

Aleigha made lunch yesterday

How cool that you made your own lunch Aleigha!

Today Aleigha decided to find a new way to practice her name - she used bows!

Also she wanted to show you how much work she has done over the last few weeks.

She is very proud of what she has done so far.

Holey moley Aleigha - I knew you had lots of bows, but seeing them like this is crazy. What a fun way to write your name.
I am very proud of how you are taking responsibility for your learning at home. Please say thanks to your Mum for helping you and for sharing the photos with us.

Sophie had been drawing pictures today

This is a very exciting picture Sophie. I love the detail on the middle person's clothes and on the flower. I wonder what the people are doing in your picture,

Check out Elies' maths!

Elies has been practising his skip counting and addition!

What great learning you are doing Elies. I can see you are also practising writing your surname. That's a really important thing to learn. Can you please say thanks to your Mum helping you and for sending us your photos.

I'm feeling very lucky!

I'm am so lucky! I've just had a google hangout with my homeroom.  Thank you to the parents involved.  I appreciate this is a big learning curve for some of us, so well done.  The way that the students used the microphone to retain some semblance of order was fantastic.

I have to say Logan I have never seen you so quiet. Loved the mask that you made with dad. Love the haircut. I think next time, Friday, you will have a lot more to say.

Lucas, you have had a haircut too.  Brilliant, mum is very clever.  You are getting good at colouring Lucas, that's great practise with the crayon, and pencil.

Joanna it was lovely to see your face and your fantastic pictures.  You are a real little artist, keep drawing.

Hugo, you are doing a lot of learning.  Loved your mask. Well done to your mum and dad for helping.  You are lucky.  I think you may talk more on Friday too.  It is a lot different from being right in front of the person that you are talking to.

Paige, you are looking great.  How's mum feeling about taking a break from all the plaiting.  I'm loving seeing all the different things that you are doing.  Loved the flower. Very creative.

Rory, you were brave being one of the first to talk.  Thanks mum for the support.  I'm glad you have been getting outside as well.  You need to make sure you get some fresh air while we are in lockdown.  See you Friday Rory.

Sophie, it was great to see you too, even though it was very brief.  Come to the hangout on Friday.  You don't have to talk, even if you just listen to the other students talking about what they have been doing.

Aleigha

Aleigha is very excited  she is now using her aunty's laptop to do her school work, much easier than mum's phone.

She is very excited for the google hangout.

I'm really excited for the google hangout too Aleigha.
How kind of your aunty to let you use her laptop.

Elies has been doing activities with his big brother and sister

Elies enjoyed participating with his brother and sister's activity.
Last Monday, they made paper planes made from different materials.
He didn't realize that he is like one of the characters in the "Tale of Fourth Grade Nothing".
:)

Well done to the whole Famitangco Family! What different materials did you use? Which material did you like the best?

Google Hangout - Who is Excited????

We are sooooo excited today because we get to hangout with you gorgeous things.
