Using Explain Everything in Reading

In Te Māuru-e-taki-nei we have just begun to use Explain Everything in our Literacy and Numeracy programme. Last week one of Mrs Cutler's groups were asked to choose their favourite part of a text and explain why it was their favourite, and also to discuss any difficult words in the text that they encountered as they were reading.  Here is Mitchell's response to the text:
