Poem of the Week Day 2

Read back over the poem again.

Try to read it with your best reading voice. You might need someone to help you.

Can you count how many capital letters are in this poem?

Don't forget all the things you already know about capital letters like ..... a capital letter will always be at the beginning of a sentence, a capital letter is always at the beginning of a name.........

Can you remember what this is      ?

That's right it is a question mark.
That means someone is asking a question in the poem.

How many ? can you find in this poem?

Write your answers in the comment box below.

  1. Good morning. Rory has counted 9 capital letters and 7 question marks. She even remembered what a question mark was. She also said that the weather here today is cloudy but the sun is coming out a little bit.

    1. You are so right Hugo. I love that you know where a capital letter should be and can find them in this poem. I also love that you talked about the title with your family because we like to talk about the title at school as well. The title is important because it is the name of the poem so good on you chatting about this with your family and deciding to count the capital letters in the poem but not the title. There is great learning and discussions going on in your bubble. Good on you superstar.
