A visit from Kidsfirst Hornby

On Wednesday Ms Courtney and her homeroom hosted a visit from Kidsfirst Hornby.  They all had lots of fun making jellyfish in J week.  There were lots of smiling faces from all concerned.  The primary children were great role models for the kindergarten visitors.  Wonderful behaviour from all students.  We shall look forward to their next visit later in the term.

Yoga at school with Level 3 tamariki

This morning we couldn't get outside for a play as it was raining, so we did some Cosmic Kids Yoga to get our bodies moving.

Pyper loved it because yoga is good for your brain.

Maxwell said it's like being a whale or a friendly shark on an adventure.

Amber liked doing the surf boarding.

Louie said yoga is really good exercise for your body.

I certainly enjoyed moving my body too and having some fun while I exercised. - Miss Clothier

Te Ope Ruaraki during Level 3 - August, '21

A very different looking learning space now with areas marked off and equipment inside each area.  Great work to the teachers that are at school with the essential worker's children.

Another great turnout at the Google Meet this morning and Wacky Hair day was a hit.  We had some fantastic ideas, including helium balloons, wire, plants from the garden, clothing from dolls, gel and so the list goes on.  Thank you to all involved for your time and no doubt your patience!  You all looked fantastic.

Tomorrow is Favourite Food day! So draw a picture, or even bring it to the Meet tomorrow, show us and tell us why it's your favourite.

Enjoy your day.

Check out the dessert she made for her family. When I showed my Tommy he said, "Can we have dessert like that tonight mum?"
I think I need your recipe Sofia.
