When bunnies come to school...

Jesiah bought his baby bunnies to school for all the children to look at  in Te Ope Ruaraki. We got to pat the bunnies and watch them eat some food.

Jelly

Te Ope Ruaraki (Rm 2, 3 & 4) made and tasted Jelly this week. Love the great big smiles on everyone's faces - showing the "FUN" they are having with their learning.

John Parsons - Cyber Smart

This morning the Year 3 students from Te Māuru-e-taki-nei walked down to Hornby High School to listen to a man called John Parsons talk about being Cyber Smart.
He talked to us about staying strong and we showed him our power.

His 4 things to remember were:

  1. People you don't know are strangers.
  2. Be nice to people.
  3. Keep your personal information private.
  4. If you get that funny feeling in your tummy (butterflies) then tell an adult that you love and trust.

If your child is in Year 3 and went to listen to John Parsons today, then have a chat to them about what they learnt.

Off on our big walk to Hornby High School.

In the auditorium - almost time to start.

Waiting for it to start.

Watching the video about Kim & Lee playing an online game.

Showing John Parsons our "Power"

Showing our "Power"

We have the "Power" to be "Super Protectors"

Relating to Others

Something from our youngest students this time...
Te Ope Ruaraki students (Rm2-4) working together, using their sharing and co-operative skills to create things together.  Taking turns, talking nicely and helping each other - all important skills to grow into heroes.
