We are learning how to sort objects into groups.  We sorted a whole variety of different things using hula hoops.  We sorted according to colour.

Tower Building Challenge

"Th" Crowns

We have been learning about what a diagraph is - 2 letters, 1 sound.

We have learnt about "ch", "sh" and "th".

Today we made "Th" crowns that we can wear when we sit on our throne like a queen or king!

Ordering numbers

Mrs Jones' maths groups are learning how to order numbers from the smallest to the biggest.  When we are doing this we need to talk about what numbers come before and after, and are bigger and smaller.  We are quickly becoming experts.

Swimming

We love swimming - and we love our new school swimming pool.
We go swimming every single day!

Welcome to 2019.
In Te Ope Ruaraki this year you will find Mrs Jones, Mrs Montofre and Mrs Gatehouse.
Mrs Montofre and Mrs Gatehouse job share, which means Mrs Gatehouse works Monday and Tuesday, and Mrs Montofre works Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.  Mrs Gatehouse releases Mrs Jones each Wednesday.
You will also, of course, find a great bunch of amazing Y0 and Y1 students!!
